Qardho floods

The organization participated in the rescue of heavy downpours in Qardho. The resultant widespread flooding caused damages to infrastructure (road networks and telecommunications), settlements/Shelter leading to some deaths and population displacements, contamination of water sources, disrupted livelihoods, social services (especially Health) and market functionality.

Solar Lighting

The organization implemented a project to install solar street lights in Xidda region. Xidda’s streets are
now alive at night and business can grow more, having the chance of remaining open until late night.

Implementation of Xidda hospital

The organization completed the largest project in the Xidda region. The idea to establish a hospital in the city of Xidda has gone through several stages, and the organization has finally succeeded in implementing this project, which will serve the Xidda
population greatly.

ABOUT US

IFTIIN is a registered non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Puntland, Somalia. It was founded in 2014 by a group of professionals from various fields. The organization's primary aim is to support and promote development in the areas of education, social sanitation, community health, and socialization. IFTIIN specifically focuses on community development through initiatives related to education, sanitation, and health awareness within local communities. Additionally, the organization conducts research on social issues, including community development and environmental concerns. The findings from these studies form the basis for IFTIIN's work, guiding their efforts to make a positive impact on the community.

To provide people affected by human and natural crises in the Puntland region with emergency relief, educational programs, clean water and food security, health care, protection for children and orphans, sustainable socio-economic programs, and to promote peace-building and effective governance, while integrating our values of respect, impartiality, quality, accountability, advocacy and innovation in all our work
